Yupo Models

As a supplement to some of my sketches, I started playing around with Yupo.

For the uninformed, Yupo is a thin, semi-opaque sheet of plastic material that can act as tracing paper. You can draw on it with most mediums, but it does not absorb ink. This allows for paint or ink to remain workable for longer periods.

Lust

So, I'm good with paint streaks.
I turned a painting of mine into a screenprint. I call it 'Lust'.

It's a three color print, as you can see, manually printed. Pretty abstract and available for purchase here.

There has been a lull in my design work. Not entirely, but in terms of blog updates, I've been slacking. Not slacking, but painting. Here are some of my finished pieces I thought I'd show you:

Rorschach (Toxic Ideation)

So as you may or may not have noticed, in reference to my Toxics album cover, the finished product was monotone. It didn't start that way though.

Stumbling through old files (oh, those files!) I found the original color version and appreciated how well it worked as a stand alone, I thought I'd show you guys to see your opinion.

Which further stemmed from some paint blobs I made, as seen below.

Now if only I could find a decent large format printer... (Tips & hints welcome!)
