Villains Back Patch

These were some back patches I had screenprinted. Inspired by metal & punk culture, I chose the word Villains and ran with it. It's not a real band or gang or anything at all. Just a word, open to interpretation.

E.E. U.U. is Spanish for Estados Unidos (USA for all you laymen) and signifies Villains' country of origin. Duh.

Originally printed June 2013

S.O.S. Save Our Sage

Just wanted to quick post this up; despite the event having long since past. I designed and screen printed a poster to promote and be sold for a benefit event on behalf of Sage Ugstad & her medical costs.

It printed nicely with a border on a few different colored stocks.
Mind the blur.

Chasm

As mentioned in my GIGI x CLICHE x KID JERF post, I had debuted three new prints. I titled these three prints "Chasm eras I II & III." Here they are in a larger format:

They each measure 12"x12"

Currently these are not available for purchase online anywhere but please feel free to contact me directly if interested.

Prints For Sale !!

Woop Woop! If you've ever thought "Gee whiz, my walls sure look cold" or "By golly, my eyes are bored!" then boy do I have the website for you!

Prints by Jeffrey L. Barr

Gone will be the days where you and your loved ones weep endlessly at a barren slat of drywall. Adorn your walls, because they deserve a gift and they sure can't eat ice cream!!

But yeah, that's where I'll be posting my original, hand-screenprinted art & designs as they come along. Take a gander, you won't regret it ;) ;) ;*

Lust

So, I'm good with paint streaks.
I turned a painting of mine into a screenprint. I call it 'Lust'.

It's a three color print, as you can see, manually printed. Pretty abstract and available for purchase here.

Hipster Trash

Y'all remember my post waaay back? Sure you do. Well I finally transferred the idea from my computer to THE 4TH DIMENSION by way of silkscreen.
Behold!

I guess I call it Hipster Trash. I'm doing another (new object) to be part of the series in the next week or so.

One color down.

Tah-Dah!

These were all manually screenprinted by yours truly on 20"x23" French Paper Co. Pop-Tone Blu Raspberry cover stock. There's also a variant! Yellow! Mmm like butter.

Or Lemonade!

Yellow Variant: edition of 6 (only SIX!) and Teal: edition of 18.

Just to be clear about this:

KID JERF IN NO WAY CONDONES using a dinky digital camera in poor lighting to convey pieces of art. Sorry about that.

Available for purchase here.

Screenprinting: for your Home

[Choppy panoramic of] the studio space
Another lull in my blog activity has been caused by screen printing. I built a table and my friend and I amassed the materials needed to be able to screen print. Here are some photos from our first gig, a concert poster for Live Letters

Poster Design by Dschwen
I'll be sure to update [hopefully soon] with some of my own screen printed creations.

Flying Fortress Preflight

Hi friends. This is another "field trip" post wherein I am screenprinting a new design.

"Flying Fortress" will be my screen printing handle, for no reason other than that it has a nice ring to it. But here is a flagship shirt I created under that moniker.
She is beautiful but broken.

Gotta burn the image

Gotta flood the image

All done! It took some trial and error (which can be very costly) but I mastered it. I'm satisfied, but what do you think?

I'll be back this weekend with more fun stuff. Until then!

 PS:
These shirts are for sale, and it would be awesome if you wanted one, to show your support for the local arts, or for whatever reason!
This first run consisted of 9 (NINE!) shirts total, so if you want some in this color be sure to let me know quick!

They are currently only $10 (!), e-mail:

Love Letter to MPLS

I finally got to start screen printing some of my designs, I'm psyched! I took some pics for y'all (which you may not find as interesting as I do, but anyways,) sorry about the low-quality cellphone pics!

The first design I printed was commissioned by Shameless Inc. and it was based on a design I showed you in an earlier post (Love Note to MPLS). The design was modified to this end:

My babies...

...They grow so quickly.

Pretty cool right?? Hand printed by yours truly and available at Shameless' Storefront on Franklin & Hennepin and soon to come online. I'll talk about that more later though.

I also hand-deliver, if you're in the MN area and are interested in one, as well as ship. Get at me if you're interested!
